As a child, Daniel Smith was always inspired to create things. Becoming an artist was always his dream. Before graduating high school, he became a sign painter. “Back then, we created everything with a brush.” After honing his skills, he started airbrushing and pinstriping. He was fortunate enough to work on many cool things, race cars, show cars, motorcycles and more. When things became more computerized, he continued working with brushes while picking up a mouse. Graphic design became part of his job. He was fascinated with fonts and simple elements that got his point across. Fast forward to early 2000’s, he fell in love with pottery. He was in the studio more than he was working his job. The studio he was working in closed and he just started painting, simple as that.
Daniel accepts commission requests. If you’re interested in a custom piece, please email him with your idea, preferred size, and timeline, and he will get back to you with availability and pricing.
