Kim Navarrete

Kim Navarrete is a life-long artist and lover of film and animation who began making “movies” with her first camcorder at 12 years old. After graduating from Memphis College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Media in 2011, Kim jumped right into the video production industry in the New Orleans area.
Since then, she’s worked as a creative director for a media company producing, editing, and directing videos for local businesses. She’s animated hundreds of video intros, bumpers, logo reveals, lower thirds, credits, and kinetic text and graphics for a wide variety of video types. Kim has also spent countless hours tediously producing fully animated videos throughout her career.
Now as a sole proprietor and entrepreneur living in western Colorado during the Summer and Fall, and in Biloxi, Mississippi during Winter and Spring, Kim creates art in a variety of mediums including watercolor, oil pastel, and block printing. Kim also manages her own Etsy shop selling vintage clothing and home goods. She is open to commission work including pet portraits, logo design, and illustration.
Kim’s favorite hobbies are surf skating, hiking, rockhounding and tumbling, metal detecting, and bird watching. Kim is available for commission work. Email her with your ideas, size and budget and she will respond with availability.
