Shalese Scott has been painting since she could pick up a paint brush. She started painting custom murals for her drill instructor’s and teachers during her time in the Army back in 2004 and hasn’t stopped getting requests to this day. While raising two kids by herself and running her dog grooming business she always makes time to create. Shalese likes to explore all different kinds of mediums and is currently focused on acrylic painting. She draws inspiration from the beauty of nature she’s surrounded by whether it’s the red rocks of southern Utah or the Mississippi gulf coast where she currently resides.
“I’ve found that no matter how incredible your surroundings are it’s easy to take it for granted. I hope my work reminds people to appreciate the beauty of nature and people available in their own backyard.”
